While I was shooting details during Mike and Jhona’s wedding preps…

BRIDESMAID: “When you’re done, you might want to use the microwave to heat ‘em up!”

Capital Sin

Yes, I am guilty of neglecting this blog again. Why? Because I alternately blog here. So can I be forgiven now?

Our first time to shoot prenups at the Philippine Airforce Museum! I just have to give it to the couple for choosing the venue, and better yet, for their humor. We were laughing the entire session that I had to keep my head in the game like “hey! I’m still shooting and this IS work!”

When I eventually got a grasp of Mike and Jhona’s bubbly personalities, we had to think on the fly what cool things could be done.

Philippine Elections 2010

Results are currently being transferred and consolidated at blazing speed! Votes for local government positions are already being announced one by one. I wouldn’t be surprised if a winner for the presidential race would be announced as early as tomorrow.

We’re now seeing the fruits of an automated system. The long lines tested our patience, but we’re now enjoying swift counts coming in.

So far Aquino is blazing the trail. Erap, the scumbag, follows at far 2nd. If the trends continue (which is very likely), Aquino seems to be our next president.

I voted for Gibo though. Sad to see a very capable presidentiable not as ‘popular’ as those who lead the polls.

I am repeating the crime of putting my blog aside to one corner.

A friend sent me these picks of a most unusual wedding. What a great picture story.

We’re back! Photos later :)

Off to the North

Rarely do I go out of town. This should be a blast. Me along with 8 friends will take a trip up North but instead of Ilocos (which was our last roadtrip destination), We’re going Northeast to Nueva Vizcaya. Four days there should be fun. It should also be a great time to test my new gear. I’m still without a 2.8 wide and also without any speedlights (supplier has ran out of units) so I may be a bit cripple going out there. But hey, it’s a 7D, an 18-55 and an 85 1.8 in the bag. I can’t complain much.

Not sure if there’s wifi there to keep you posted, but I’ll surely be back with photos (or videos maybe) by Sunday.

We’re off early morning.

God bless y’all folks!

An 85mm 1.8 is now attached…

…to my new Canon 7D. Got a good deal at TPC- an almost brand new, dent-less, scratchless, excellent performer.

On initial testing, I immediately fell in love with its bokeh. The colors are fabulous as well. I’m reminded of my old Nikkor AF-D 50mm 1.8. But this one might be better. It’s much sturdy than I expected. It’s a shame that it’s not an L lens but I couldn’t care less. I’ll post a few samples in the next few days. I’ll be off on a trip with some friends over the weekend. We’ll see what this little wonder’s got.
